Livio Gibelli

Lecturer, University of Edinburgh

I am Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. I received my PhD in applied mathematics from the Politecnico di Milano and, prior to my current position, I worked as research assistant at the University of Warwick, Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, and University of British Columbia.

My main research interests include the kinetic theory modelling of non-equilibrium multiphase systems, the continuum description of slightly rarefied gas flows, the numerical methods for solving kinetic equations, and the mesoscopic approach to crowd dynamics.
